Brady Schwartz

I’ve been doing CrossFit for about 8 years and as a collective coaching staff we have over 40 years of experience.
I grew up playing all sports. Football, basketball, and baseball all throughout high school. I played a few years of football at Missouri State. I love competition and always played traditional sports but after college I began to experiment with triathlons, half marathons, mountain/road biking, wake-boarding, and snowboarding. I basically like anything competitive or outside sports like golf, hunting and fishing. I found CrossFit at CrossFit 806 in Amarillo, TX in 2011 and it instantly became a passion of mine where the competition and community was something I was striving for. This picture was my first competition and is the motto of CrossFit Washington, “Better Than Yesterday”. CrossFit has also been a way for me to escape from work/life stress and blow off some steam with friends in a positive atmosphere. I’ve been to over 50 boxes nationwide, and I was really excited when I found a great community with a strong team to be a part of right here in Washington, MO.

Sila Karacal

After years of figure skating competitively Sila came to the soul crushing realization that her Disney on Ice career probably wasn’t going to pan out and she should probably focus on school. Sila graduated from Oklahoma State University and went on to Syracuse University of Law (watch out Elle Woods). Needless, to say all the late nights, tailgates, and eating out caught up with her. It wasn’t until the summer of 2015 when Sila was the maid of honor in one of her sorority sister’s weddings that she realized how out of control her weight had gotten. Sila slowly began making lifestyle changes and finally mustered enough courage to walk into a CrossFit box in May of 2016. By August 2016, Sila was hooked. CrossFit has not only helped Sila lose a tremendous amount of weight, but to lead a healthy, happy, active lifestyle.

Things Sila loves: lifting heavy, petting all the puppies, swinging kettle bells, loving on all the babies that come in the box and then giving them back to their parents, and hip extensions for days.

Things Sila doesn’t love: Running, spiders, ketchup, and wall balls.

You can find Sila in the box most days, probably busting out some sweet dance moves in the middle of a wod or chatting up a storm. When Sila isn’t in the box or courtroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two old grumpy puppies.

When I started CrossFit in 2013 it was just as a way to stay in shape and get stronger.  Little did I realize it would not only do that but even ease physical issues I had most my life and become a great way to get rid of the days stress.  There will always be days that I don't want to go work out. However, I found that on those days if I do go, I never regret it.  I always walk out glad I went and it's always because of the community of people at Crossfit.  After 2 years I decided I wanted to help others and got my L-1 in 2015.  Today one of my biggest joys is having the opportunity to help someone meet a goal they have set for themselves and seeing their excitement in doing so.   To get you there I always try to keep a relaxed, fun and safe environment so you always feel comfortable.

Stephanie Pehle

Stephanie’s CrossFit journey started in 2015, about a year after her son, Mason, was born.  What started out as a goal to lose some baby weight quickly turned into a passion and a fitness journey that has lead to many great friendships along the way.  Stephanie loves CrossFit because anyone can do it and it challenges you every day regardless of if you are a beginner or have been doing it for years.  There is always something to improve on, always new goals to accomplish.  In the end it’s you against you, constantly getting better every single day.  Her favorite thing about coaching is seeing an athletes face when they finally hit that PR they have been striving for, or achieve that “first” they have been working so hard for.  She is super competitive and loves competing against herself on a daily basis but also doing individual and team competitions.

Outside of CrossFit Stephanie enjoys spending time with her three children and husband on the family farm doing anything outdoors.  She has a BS in Marketing and works as a Marketing Specialist for a Human Nutrition and Health company.

My Crossfit journey started in July 2017 after passing a local affiliate on my running route.  At the time, I thought to myself, “There has to be more to fitness than running circles and eating chicken breasts, right?” The instant I started the Baseline WOD, I knew I’d found the answer, and I haven’t looked back.

Sixty pounds lighter and whole lot fitter, my journey of HEALTH is only getting started.  As much as I want to grow as a coach, my community wants to grow MORE as human beings.  I am a tool to help my community achieve that through virtuosity.  I am a tool to help my community be better tomorrow.  I continually remind myself to take on this responsibility with humility and gratitude.

Kallie Whitthaus

Kallie has been doing CrossFit since 2016. What started as a way to just lose a few pounds quickly turned into something she just couldn’t go without. She is a firm believer in functional fitness and how everything she does in the gym helps her do other things she loves— chasing after her daughter Flynn, spending time hunting and fishing with her husband; skiing and boating with her family, and even snow skiing when she gets the chance. CrossFit isn’t just losing a few pounds, it’s gaining friends, confidence, and an active lifestyle.

CODY BECK

After being a lifelong traditional weightlifter, I was looking for something that fit more of the “athlete lifestyle”. Something that was easily transferable to playing sports, your kids, or doing day-to-day tasks and not the traditional M-F lifting routine. As an ex-college athlete growing up playing soccer and basketball, I needed something that pushed me a bit harder. Brady introduced me to CrossFit in 2019 and I haven’t turned back. I decided to become a coach when I saw the changes it was making in people’s lives and the community it was building. After having my daughter, I wanted her to see a fit way of life in a less traditional sense, and what better way than to dive in head first. The community, the programming, and the atmosphere at CFW has made a difference in my life and if you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me.
